Review: Foul Line - E.M Moore

Review: Foul Line - Book #2 The Ballers of Rockport High - E.M Moore - August 2019 One good thing about being on annual leave from work is that I can get more reading done, normally I would be reading more than I have this week but I've been busy also binge-watching my Criminal Minds in order to catch up to the new season. So during this week,   I am still sitting at a book a day. What it does mean though is I can catch up by clearing my devices as I have the time to browse longer.  At the end of Book #1 in this series, we saw Tessa being left humiliated when the crowd chucked panties on the basketball court. At the start of Book #2, we read as Tessa is preparing for the one place where she can finally get some basketball practice in and the world of Rockport High's hierarchy isn't as important. We also read as her mother is seriously thinking of moving her to Spring Hill which is where the next series that E.M Moore has written is set. Tessa's dream though won't h...

Review: The Girl who Reads on the Metro - Christine Feret-Fleury

Review: The Girl who Reads on the Metro - Christine Feret-Fleury - October 2019 After four DNF's I needed a book to read as nothing seemed to be keeping my attention. The title of this book attracted me to it. I loved the title as I am the type of girl who you would find reading on public transport. The book is set in France where we meet Juliette whom catches the Metro every morning to work and on her way observes people and what they are reading and she likes to make stories up about the people she sees in accordance to the books they are reading from the old woman reading a cookbook - she was a famous chef when she was younger. Juliette is in a dead-end job working as a real estate agent in a small company. On her way to work one morning, she spots a little girl running about and she follows her to a second-hand bookshop. It is in the bookshop, she meets the owner Soliman and his daughter Zadie and learns about the art of being a "passuer". Passing books onto stranger...
