Review: The Lying Kind - Book #1 Detective Rachel Prince Series - Alison James - February 2018 I was scrolling through my kindle and was in the mood for a mystery read and the title "The Missing Girl" jumped out at me. This particular book after doing research on Goodreads had three different titles - The Missing Girl, The Lying Kind and Lola are Missing. The book starts off with Rachel and her partner Mark being handed a cold case, a young girl Lola Harper disappeared and all leads have gone ice cold. Her father has also disappeared without a trace. Rachel and Mark go and interview the mother and it seems that all cases point to a nasty custody battle and that Gavin and his daughter have swanned off somewhere. As the book goes along though and Rachel and Mark interview friends, family, acquaintances things start not adding up and it looks more like the mother knows more than she is letting on.        Review: Six - Book #6 Count to Ten Series - Jane Blythe - July 2018 What I love about this series by Jane Blythe is that right through the whole series, she has kept the same main characters and the serial killers all have connections to the cast. In this book, we start off with Paige in the hospital hanging for her life as Sofia's stalker once again has tried to eliminate her as the stalker is convinced that Paige is harming Sofia. When the stalker was revealed, I did think it made sense as he has featured in the books since the beginning. The twist though was how he is connected to Sofia, this blew me away as I was like WTF - I definitely did not see that coming but it made since hence his sociopathic/ serial killer tendencies. Jake's wife Laura has just had her baby which they named after the police officer who was killed in the previous book.
